The Next Accident by Lisa Gardner

What do you do  when a killer targets the people you love the most? When he knows how to make them vulnerable? When he knows the same about you?

These are the questions that haunt the FBI Special Agent Pierce Quincy. The police say his daughter’s death was an accident. Quincy will risk everything to learn the truth — and there’s only one person willing to help. Ex-cop Rainie Connor had once been paired professionally — and personally — with the brilliant FBI profiler. H helped her through the darkest days of her life. Now it’s time for Rainie to return the favor.

As the clock ticks down to one unspeakably intimate act of violence, the only way Rainie can unmask this killer is to step directly into murderous path. She will be . . . the next accident.

This is the third book in the FBI Profiler series written by Lisa Gardner. This is another recommended book to read. I find this as a fast-paced story that is hard to put down and will keep you up all night. The twist and turns in this book will keep you want to turn every page while guessing who the culprit is until the end. The described violence in here are indeed gruesome that I even noticed my face twitch making the expression of disgust and shock. One thing that interest me in this story is the killer’s skill in always having a step ahead from the main characters and I also like the way how the killer kind of played with them. To be honest, I have made a few guesses as to who the killer will be but in the end it turned out that it was someone whom I have thought of but just wasn’t convinced that much that he could be the guy. I’m satisfied in this book in general. The Next Accident gave me an enjoyable read and highly recommended.
